i know, i know...i'm late but i had an exam last night. maybe if the episode that we waited weeks for was a little bit more exciting, i would have posted sooner but jimmy kimmel spoiled the twist on his show the night before so yeah, we all knew claire had amnesia. there was plenty of action, but was there? i mean they did have guns - lots of guns and they did run into ethan a couple of times (not to mention that one of those meetings was fatal) but i thought there was really something lacking in the episode.
maybe if they killed of a real character instead of scott "sorry i called you steve", it would have been worth waiting so many long wednesdays. i'm sorry for being so negative. it was a very freaky episode. they couldn't have picked anyone more creepy and wierd than ethan to hunt people down with his gang of croneys. i understand that claire needs to have retrograde amnesia because they are delaying the charlie-claire love fest and i literally screamed when boone woke up in the middle of the jungle. and locke looks pretty happy with a gun so overall i was entertained, but still - who is scott?

I was not impressed with the amnesia bit either, too overdone. Also, I would of liked to have seen Hurley's flashback instead of another one for Charlie.
I was happy to see that Ethan actually got killed off. It would of been really frustrating to watch them try and keep him a captive. The fight scene was so silly. The rain! I don't buy that a man who can swim through rough seas to break a guys neck, arms and fingers would get his ass kicked by Jack the doctor. No way.
The preview for next weeks episode is not making me feel any better about the direction of the show. The guns are now out and all Hell's breaking loose?? Could they please just get rid of kate altogether?!? Please?
i agree that they should have done a different back story. now jack and charlie have two each. kate will have another one soon too, i bet.
and i think that guns on the island is such a cop out. they could be making really clever traps and gadgets. and what good did they do? ethan was running after claire for so long that i thought their little army had fallen asleep in the bushes.
all this and it's still my favourite show. what does that say for the current state of television? oh yeah and ryan thinks that the french lady set claire free.

That is very probable. It definitely would make more sense then Claire just "getting away."
I'm not happy about the guns either. It's going to be a very annoying element to the show.
