my first driving lesson
i know it's taken me a long time to start learning how to drive, but it doesn't seem like there's much need where i live.
i'm happy to say that by the time i am ready to buy a car, they may already be selling used hybrids and fuel-cell cars and i won't have that guilty gas-guzzling feeling that other drivers may have.
i just figured i would follow in my sisters' footsteps and learn to drive up at the cottage. deanlea street and rosemary drive.
in this picture i actually braved it to the woodland beach parking lot and although you can't tell by the picture, i can pull in really well.

What a great picture! Learning to drive around the cottage is the best place to do it. I know that you don't really need your license in TO but it is good to have for emergencies.
Who am I to talk, I got my license when Bean was 2. I waited until I was 23 for Christ Sakes!
i think it was the idea of having to try to drive to midland hospital without having a clue what to do behind the wheel that sparked this endevor. (ryan was having steak and it looked really rare...nothing like food poisoning in the middle of nowhere).
and learning to drive without actually having a car (or any prospect of getting one) is a little disheartening.
and i will check out that blog. thanks for stopping by.
and jody - i just noticed that picture! you were the most beautiful little girl - not that you aren't still, but that has always been my favourite picture of you.
The driving experience is different for everyone. It’s okay that you started a little late. A lot of people start in their teens, while some people wait until their 20’s -- even 30’s -- to begin learning. The important thing is that you practice and build your confidence and technique. Hopefully, you’re much better and relaxed on the road these days.
It’s good to know that you actually had the initiative to learn how to drive. And I believe that by this time, you are already a great driver! Some young drivers nowadays have a tendency to be reckless and pretty aggressive on the road, which is never good. Always practice responsible driving to stay out of harm’s way.
