martin luther king day

"We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people."
-"Letter from Birmingham Jail," April 16, 1963

martin luther king day is not a holiday, but a day for action. it is a day earned by public pressure, petitioning and civil rights marches. on this day, we can celebrate the power that one person can have to change history and the lasting permanence of one voice through time.

Dear Jessalauren,
Thank you for being the first person to respond to my comments. I'm not really sure what "here, here" means
but I thank you for sending it. I also commend you for you sense of social responsability not only with regard to humans but also with animals. Young people like yourself will someday change the world. Peace, Cch
